Vince has extensive experience in commercial and corporations law, specialising in taxation and insolvency. He regularly appears in the trial and appellate jurisdictions of the Federal Court of Australia (including the Full Court), the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Administrative Review Tribunal (formerly, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal).

Before being called to the Bar, he served as Associate to Senior Judge Skoien in the District Court of Queensland. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons).

Vince was called to the Bar on 17 March 2002. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.

He is a member of the Queensland Bar Association and Australian Bar Association Tax Committees.

Ben was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2006 and called to the Bar in 2010. During this time, Ben has a developed broad practice in commercial, succession and public law.

Ben’s practice involves extensive advocacy and advice work. He regularly appears in the Queensland and Federal Courts in trials and appeals.

In his commercial law practice, Ben has significant experience and expertise in disputes involving wills and estates, insolvency, consumer law, contracts, insurance, property, partnerships/joint ventures, restraints of trade and professional negligence.  His foremost expertise is in equity and trusts disputes – which are areas he has a deep knowledge on through extensive lecturing and teaching at QUT since 2008. He is also a nationally accredited mediator.

Ben also has significant experience in judicial review, merits review and disciplinary matters where he regularly advises and appears both for and against government departments and agencies. Ben is recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a leading administrative and public law barrister in Queensland.

Before coming to the Bar, Ben practised as a commercial litigation solicitor at top tier and national law firms for around five years.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Master of Laws. 

Ben McEniery has a civil and public law practice that predominantly involves intellectual property and tax. He is recommended as a leading Queensland Intellectual Property and Technology barrister by Doyle’s Guide.

Before being called to the bar, Ben practised as a solicitor at Clayton Utz and lectured in law at the Queensland University of Technology.

Ben is a graduate of the University of Queensland, holding a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in computer science) (1999) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (2000). He also holds a Master of Laws (2004) and Doctor of Philosophy (2010) from the Queensland University of Technology. Ben was called to the bar in 2011.

James has a broad commercial and equity practice. He regularly appears in the Queensland Courts and the Federal Court system, including at appellate level, and has acted in interstate matters. He was admitted in 2008 and called to the Bar in 2016.

James has a wide range of experience in civil litigation, with particular expertise in commercial disputes, insurance, insolvency, wills and estates, property law, professional negligence and judicial review.

In addition to his practice at the Bar, James has tutored Equity and Trusts at the Queensland University of Technology and has published a number of legal works, including as a co-author of a chapter in Joint Ventures Law in Australia (third edition) on fiduciary obligations between parties to unincorporated joint ventures and as a co-author of Nutshell Equity (fifth and sixth editions).

Prior to being called to the Bar, James was a Senior Associate at Clayton Utz. He also worked in London as an Associate in the commercial disputes group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and as an in-house litigation lawyer at Deloitte.

James holds a Master of Laws from QUT, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from UQ and a Bachelor of Arts from UQ. He is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Norman was called to the Bar in 2023 and practices in all areas.

Before coming to the bar, Norman served as Associate to Justice R Derrington in the Federal Court of Australia in 2022. 

Norman holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from UQ with First Class Honours, a Master of Taxation from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Commerce from USQ.

Michael was called to the Bar in 2025 where he maintains a broad commercial and civil practice across both State and Federal Courts. 

He accepts briefs in all areas of civil litigation, with a particular focus on commercial disputes and professional disciplinary proceedings. He also accepts briefs in construction, insolvency, administrative law and employment disputes.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Michael practiced as a solicitor at JCL Law Partners (formerly James Conomos Lawyers) and McCullough Robertson Lawyers, where he focused primarily on commercial disputes. 

He was also a Senior Lawyer in Legal Aid Queensland’s civil law team, where he practiced administrative and public law.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Master of Laws (LLM) with a specialisation in commercial litigation.

Lee was called to the Bar on 18 March 2002. He has practised continuously at the Brisbane private bar since that time. Initially, Lee practised in the area of construction law and general commercial litigation but by 2008 was practising exclusively in personal injuries. He has extensive experience in all forms of personal injuries litigation having appeared in the Queensland Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Queensland, District Court of Queensland, Magistrates Court of Queensland, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal. He has appeared at numerous settlement conferences and mediations acting for both Plaintiffs and insurers.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management). Prior to being called to the Bar, Lee worked as a Project Manager on major construction projects throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
